Job Title: Estimating Project Manager
Reports To: Estimating Sales Manager
Department: Estimating

General Purpose of Position:
Prepare quotations of Pawling products from written specifications and electronic plans. Coordinate customer order requirements on layout jobs to ensure accuracy of product shipment.
Major Responsibilities:
- Prepare take-offs and pricing of all Pawling products (wall protection, entrance matting etc) within the required time frame
- Prepare project bids and work with Sales to finalize pricing on large projects.
- Work with Sales to ensure bids are forwarded to all necessary customer reps.
- Project Management:
- Compare product requirements from layout drawings with original take-off
- Coordinate changes with Sales
- Process change orders from point of layout drawings forward for materials requirement issues
- Review change requests and project requirements with contractor/customer as required
- Produce final product requirements list for order entry/customer service department
- Maintain up-to-date database of ongoing projects to ensure timely bids, to keep track of products and manufacturers specified, and to keep track of quoted dollars and number of jobs quoted.
- Review and process project addendum(s) as required and keep project files up-to-date accordingly
- Prepare requests for substitution on jobs where Pawling is not a specified supplier or as assigned
- Work with Engineering and Customer Service to ensure timely and accurate order turnaround.
- Maintain a comprehensive product knowledge
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Working knowledge of architectural plans
Knowledge of construction industry
Superior computer skills to include file transferring, copying, moving and directory/file management
Microsoft Office
Detail oriented
Able to multi-task and communicate effectively
Good organizational skills
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: 2-year technical school or some college preferred
Auto CAD experience preferred, but not required
Willing to train the right person with a desire to learn

Reports To: Estimating Sales Manager
Department: Estimating
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

General Purpose of Position:
Monitor incoming bid requests daily and determine which projects will be scheduled for take-off by the Estimating Department. Review specs, plans, and finish schedule and select takeoffs daily. Conduct quote follow-up via phone and email contact with sales representatives and contractors.
Major Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily searches of on-line construction subscription service to find all projects, in both bidding and planning stages, containing material Pawling provides.
- Monitor the bid box and schedule takeoffs daily. Email daily takeoff reports to internal Pawling employees.
- Follow up with sales representatives and contractors on all takeoff quotes and all large quotes. Obtain information relative to quote status and negotiation opportunities via phone and email.
- Review and respond appropriately to all “invitation to Bids” received from outside sources.
- Circulate bid information to field sales representatives and communicate directly with contractors regarding bid opportunities. Solicit quote requests for projects where Pawling is not doing a takeoff.
- Maintain an up-to-date and accurate database of all projects (bidding and planning stage) as well as information on takeoffs, quotes and other data as required. Confirm online, by email, or phone with contractors if we are or are not bidding a project.
- Prepare project quotes for take-offs and customer quote requests, including pricing and database entry.
- Consult with management to finalize pricing on large projects.
- Interact with sales managers, outside sales representatives and customers to provide accurate project information and cooperate with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate quote turnaround.
- Provide support and back up to the Estimating & Sales Coordinator when needed
- All other duties as assigned
